Martin and I live, breathe and sleep hunting. Give us half an opening, and in a flash our four-wheel-drive car is packed with food and gear, our cranked-up huntin' dawg Chessie is bouncing her crate around in the back - and sayonara, we are outta here. Can't go hunting? Hmph. All right then, we'll sneak out to the range or the trap range to get in a little practice. Failing that, we might hang around the local outfitter's store (ours is Adventure Sports in Edmonds, Washington - these guys know everything!), or look through our hunting magazines, or pore over the Cabela's master catalog, or do some shooting with the air rifle. (Martin also loves to play paintball - "a whole nuther story.") On a rainy afternoon I might be working at my reloading bench while Martin does some virtual hunting on one of his numerous computer hunting games. And in the evening we've got our noses in our favorite hunting stories. I know - we're hopeless. And we wouldn't want it any other way. Follow the links to a description of how we got started with this obsession, the gear we use, the game we've hunted and what we'll be trying next, areas where we've hunted, our pup Chessie, and (recent development) our wilderness cabin.
