Martin and I are by no means expert hunters. For now we must continue to live mostly in the city, and that means we don't spend nearly enough time in the wilderness to become truly proficient at the activities we love so much. We know we have much to learn - and we're open to it. In fact, learning new things has proven to be a large part of the pleasure and excitement we get from our hunting adventures! But we've come a long way nevertheless, compared with when we were just starting out. So while we know many fellow hunters around whom we are the students and not the teachers, we do have some valuable experience to share with anyone interested in becoming involved in hunting from a "standing start." If you would like to explore the possibilities of hunting as a way for parents and children to bond while getting a lot of healthy exercise, learning self-reliance and responsibility, and putting healthy food on the table, then we hope you'll find some useful information in the following sections. We hope you'll want to contact us with questions and comments (see the Contacting Us/Q&A section of this website). And if you live in the Pacific Northwest, perhaps we can organize a group outing sometime!
